Teen Angst? Naaah...

I'm reading the book Teen Angst? Naaah... by Ned Vizzini and I really think that it has a big meaning to it. This book is a " quasi-autobiography " on how the Ned writes about what's it like to be a teen nerd from junior high to his senior in high school. The main character Ned is in a way special. He is very smart and wanted to get into the specialized high schools. When he finally got his results and find out that he got into Stuyvesant he doesn't have a much enthusiastic response. I think he must feel this way because he though he could have done better. It doesn't say in the book what score he got but the results to him was a let down. That could be the author secret message. This book was predictable in the younger days of Ned but later on he had to worry about peer pressure, embarrassment, obsessions, kissing, turning 18, SAT tests, college rejections. Could that all affect how he does?
